Won a letter on the basketball team ... coached basketball for 16 seasons at Lincoln College ... achieved a ninth place-finish in 1980 and a national junior college runner-up distinction in 1981 ... his second-place national finish was the highest ever achieved by an Illinois Junior College at the time ... named Region 4 Junior College Coach of the Year in 1980 and 1981 ... retired in 2006 as the vice president of College Relations & Student Services and athletic director after 36 years of service. Also a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) Halls of Fame.
