Three-year letterwinner .... member of the 1950 championship team ... played four seasons in the U.S. Navy, and then returned to Illinois State for the 1955-56 seasons ... averaged 5.2 yards per carry in his career ... All-IIAC in his senior season ... coached football, basketball, and track from 1958-62 at Winchester, where he died in December of 1962.
