Participated in five sports as an undergraduate at Illinois State, and was captain for three of them (basketball, field hockey and softball) ... after graduation, she played in several national AAU field hockey tournaments ... she has held numerous leadership positions in professional organizations and was division head for physical education and athletics at George Williams College.
