"Athletic Director of the Year" in 1981-82 ... recognized on the national level by the NIAAA when he received the association's Distinguished Service Award ... served the following offices within the IHSA: Secretary and Treasurer (1967-68 and 1975-76), State Conference Chairman (1967-68), District Rep (1971-72), President-Elect (1976-77), President (1977-78) and Executive Board Member (1979-80, 1980-81 and 1981-82) ... inducted into the Bloomington-Normal Officials Association Hall of Fame in 1985 ... retired from education in 1984 ... died in 1988.
