Four-year baseball letterwinner ... had a 10-3 record in 1966, helping the Redbirds to a 24-6 team record ... threw a no-hitter in 1966 against Illinois Wesleyan ... played three years in the Boston Red Sox minor league system ... coached for five years at Kankakee Bishop McNamara High School (134-79) ... coached four seasons at Kankakee Community College (130-66) ... led KCC to a seventh place finish in the National Junior College Tournament in 1974 ... coached at Lewis University where he coached for 29 years and amassed 982 victories ... named the NAIA District 20 Coach of the Year ... named Great Lakes Valley Conference Coach of the Year six times ... led the Flyers to 12 NCAA Regional appearances and six conference titles ... his teams finished in the top-five in the nation five times ... coached 41 All-Americans ... retired in 2007 to become a Special Assistant to the Vice-President for University Advancement at Lewis ... member of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association Halls of Fame.
