Four-sport standout in her time at Illinois State from 1956-59 … lettered in Field Hockey (1957-58), Softball (1957-59), Women's Basketball (1957-59) and Volleyball and was team captain for each sport in her senior season … first-team Amatuer Softball Association (ASA) All-American in softball in 1960 and 1965 … second-team All-American in 1959 and 1970 ... named her team’s Most Valuable Player in 1965 ... joined the Caterpillar Dieselettes (later Pekin Lettes) in 1955 ... her lifetime pitching career record is 401-90 for 18 years, and she played in 13 national tournaments ... in 1965, she had a scoreless string of 98.1 innings ... taught golf, fencing, archery, basketball, softball, swimming, life saving and water safety at Illinois Central College ... coached softball for 28 seasons at ICC and won 840 games including national championships in 1982 and 1998 ... coached the women's basketball team for 33 seasons and finished with a career record of 764-180 ... took ICC's basketball team to ten straight national competitions and won national titles in 1992, 1993, 1998, and 1999 ... an assistant coach for the women's softball team at the Pan-American Games ... inducted into the ASA Hall of Fame, the NFCA Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.
