Four-year letterwinner in football and baseball ... was a three-time Division I-AA All-American defensive back ... three-time first-team All-Missouri Valley Conference defensive back ... finished career as the leader in punt return yards in a career and in a season ... holds the career record for interceptions (23) ... won team MVP in 1982 and 1984 ... only the third player in Illinois State history to be drafted by two professional sport leagues (baseball and football) ... selected in the seventh round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ... selected in the fourth round by the Los Angeles Dodgers ... won a Super Bowl in 1997 with the Green Bay Packers ... in baseball, still all-time leading hitter at .387 ... holds the career records for slugging percentage and stolen bases ...
