Women's Basketball (1986-89)

Four-year basketball letterwinner ... broke into the starting lineup during her freshman season and was elected captain of the Redbirds for the next three seasons ... named Gateway Conference Player of the Year in 1989 ... named to the Gateway Conference All-Decade Team after the league blended to the Missouri Valley Conference in 1992 ... ended her career as Illinois State's career leader in steals (309) ... made 339 free throws in her career ... the first Redbird to record at least 1,000 points, 500 assists and 300 steals ... registered 98 steals in 1987-88 and 95 in 1987-88, the two best single-season totals in school history ... was a first-team all-conference selection in 1988-89 and an honorable mention all-league pick in 1987-88 ... won a national championship as an assistant coach at University of Tennessee ... head coach at the University of Denver for 13 seasons compiling a 190-181 record ... named Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year three times ... led the Pioneers to the 2001 NCAA tournament.
