Two-time letterwinner in football and baseball ... his last-minute 43-yard touchdown dash gave ISU a 7-3 victory over Eureka College in 1926 ... he followed that feat by scoring three touchdowns in a 38-6 homecoming victory over Lincoln ... returned to the baseball team in 1935 but suffered a broken ankle stealing second base in a 7-6 victory over Wisconsin.
