First ever track and field scholarship recipient ... two-time All-American College Division hurdler ... captained the 1969 squad and co-captained the 1970 squad ... as a junior, he amassed 111 points during the outdoor campaign, winning an IIAC individual title ... as a senior, he led Illinois State to its first Interstate Conference Championship ... graduated with intermediate and high hurdle records both indoors and outdoors.
