NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team will host a doubleheader with the Illinois Institute of Technology on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Bloomington Tennis Center in Bloomington, Illinois.
"I'm anxious to play this weekend and have a chance to see the improvements we've made this week," head coach Mark Klysner said. "I look forward to getting some of our younger guys some playing time this weekend and see how they've progressed throughout the year so far."
The first match is set to begin at 2 p.m. with the second match to follow at 6 p.m.
Last weekend, the Redbirds fell to the defending Summit League champion, Drake, 5-2. The 'Birds dropped a match to Tennessee Tech, 4-0.
The matchups with the Redbirds will be the Scarlett Hawks first of the season. Last year, Illinois Tech finished with a 10-12 overall record.
Illinois State looks to earn its first win in the dual season, after posting a 10-2 home record last spring.
