MIAMI, Fla. - Illinois State baseball 2019 alum Jeff Lindgren has been called up to the Miami Marlins' Major League team, as revealed Monday afternoon.
It is unclear when Lindgren is expected to make his MLB debut or what his role will be.
Lindgren boasts a 3.75 ERA in 271 minor league innings with 203 in AA (Pensacola Blue Wahoos) and 68 in AAA (Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp). Lindgren has 227 minor league strikeouts and a 1.26 career WHIP.

QUOTE FROM FIFTH-YEAR HEAD COACH STEVE HOLM
"It's a great day to be a Redbird! Jeff was our Saturday starter my first year here and he has parlayed that into a successful professional career. It's great to see players get rewarded for their hard work and performance. I could not be happier for Jeff!"
