NORMAL, Ill. – Tickets are available for a special luncheon featuring Illinois State head men's basketball coach Dan Muller and Indiana State head men's basketball coach Greg Lansing, scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Hancock Stadium Club.
Organized by the Illinois State Men's Basketball Insider's Club, the Muller/Lansing Luncheon is being held in conjunction with the Feb. 17 Indiana State at Illinois State men's basketball game, tipping off at 7 p.m. on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena. Muller and Lansing will share stories and field questions related to their experiences as fellow college basketball coaches in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Luncheon tickets are available to the public on a limited basis for $60 each by contacting a Weisbecker Scholarship Fund representative at (309) 438-3803. A table of 10 can also be booked for $500. The lunch buffet menu includes: Italian meat lasagna, baked mostaccioli, Caesar salad, sautéed green beans and toasted garlic bread.
Lansing is in his sixth season as the head basketball coach at Indiana State. He previously spent eight seasons with the program as an assistant coach, including three as associate head coach. A 1990 graduate of South Dakota, Lansing is 107-82 (.566) at the helm of the Sycamore basketball program. He is the second head coach to lead the Sycamores to the NCAA Tournament in their rookie campaign in the history of the program.
With a 23-win campaign in 2013-14, the Sycamores reached the 17-victory mark for the fifth consecutive season and notched five consecutive winning seasons for the first time in over 40 years under Lansing's leadership. Under Lansing, the Sycamores have also earned four victories over nationally-ranked teams.
