BARCELONA, Spain – On day eight of the Illinois State men's basketball team's Spain trip, the Redbirds rode a cable car from Parc de Montjuïc down to Barceloneta Beach where they spent the afternoon.
Friday's activities began with a bus ride up to Parc de Montjuïc, which is a park located on a hill, offering panoramic views of Barcelona. The park was used for the 1929 International Exhibition and the 1992 Olympic Games.
From Parc de Montjuïc, the Redbirds boarded a cable car which took them on a 10-minute ride over the Port of Barcelona and into Barceloneta Beach. The team then had the afternoon to enjoy a warm and sunny day at the beach. Click here to view a photo gallery from day eight.
