NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State athletic department has announced a second year of the revamped basketball coaches show for the 2025-26 season. The Illinois State Basketball Coach's Show, presented by The O'Brien Auto Team will run from 6-7:30 p.m., and will have a dozen shows on a rotating location throughout the year.
The shows will be held on Monday nights and will rotate locations throughout the year. Fans are welcome and invited to attend the shows, which will air on WJBC 1230 AM, the Varsity Network, and on the Illinois State Athletics Facebook page.
Head women's basketball coach Kristen Gillespie will begin at 6 p.m. with Greg Halbleib, followed by head men's basketball coach Ryan Pedon at 6:45 p.m. with John Fitzgerald and Mike Matthews. Both shows will last 45 minutes and will feature a player guest.
This year, the Illinois State Basketball Coach's Show presented by The O'Brien Auto Team begins on Monday, October 27 at Rob Dob's at 801 N. Hershey Road in Bloomington. Other shows will be on December 1 and 15, January 5, 12, 19, and 26, on February 2, 16, and 23, and on March 2 and 9.
