NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's basketball team welcomes fans for Star Wars Day Saturday versus UT Martin at 2 p.m. on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena.
Additionally, everyone is encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for children ages infant-18 years old for the WJBC Brotherhood Tree. All toys are donated to less fortunate families in McLean County. This is the 48th year that WJBC has organized the holiday fundraiser. In 2015, more than 1,600 families in Central Illinois had a better holiday because of the WJBC Brotherhood Tree.
The first 250 fans who donate a toy to the Brotherhood Tree will receive a Star Wars can cooler while supplies last. All toys will be collected at the East entrance of Redbird Arena.
Patrons to Saturday's game can enter to win a deluxe Star Wars branded cornhole set from Victory Tailgate on the concourse of Redbird Arena prior to the game. The set features Darth Vader on one board and a Stormtrooper on the other.
This is the second of four Redbird Family Night games. The ticket package includes four upper bowl tickets and four hot dog meal vouchers, including a hot dog, chips and small soda, for $40. This is the only family ticket offering in the month of December. Future Family Ticket Nights are scheduled for January 25 and February 22. To purchase the Redbird Family Night package, click here.
