ST. LOUIS – Illinois State women's tennis players Kadi Ilves and Catherine Shulman were two of 10 Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete First-Team selections, the league office announced Tuesday. Additionally, Sarah Paulson earned a spot on the Honorable Mention Team.

Kadi Ilves, Sr., Tallinn, Estonia, 4.0 GPA, Renewable Energy
Three-time MVC Scholar-Athlete First-Team selection (2014, 2015 and 2016) … Has an overall singles record of 14-10, a spring singles record of 10-9 and an MVC singles record of 3-4 … Has an overall doubles record of 18-13 and a spring doubles record of 8-12 … Teamed up with Marcia Tere-Apisah to win the 2015 MVC Individual Championship Flight 1 Doubles title … Also teamed up with Tere-Apisah to win the A Flight Doubles Championship at the 2015 Bradley Invitational … Earned the B Flight Singles Championship at the 2015 Bradley Invitational.
Catherine Shulman, So., Toronto, Ontario, 4.0 GPA, Exercise Science
Has an overall singles record of 14-11 and a spring singles record of 11-7 … Has an overall doubles record of 14-11 and a spring doubles record of 9-6 … Teamed up with Chanel Scudiero to clinch third place in Flight 3 Doubles at the 2015 MVC Individual Championship.
Sarah Paulson, Sr., Libertyville, Ill., 3.71 GPA, Elementary Education
Has an overall singles record of 1-0 and a spring singles record of 1-0 … Has an overall doubles record of 12-13 and a spring doubles record of 10-9.
