NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State rising junior Mitch Vogrin made himself a key member of Illinois State's bullpen this spring, and he's doing the same this summer playing in the Northwoods League.
A member of the Madison Mallards, Vogrin has made five relief appearances this summer, totaling 6.1 innings. He currently sports a 2.84 ERA and has registered nine strikeouts against just one walk.
Vogrin struck out a season-high four batters in his summer debut May 31 at Battle Creek in an 8-3 win. He has allowed an earned run in just one of his five appearances.
This spring, the right-hander was 0-4 with a 5.93 ERA as a Redbird. He struck out 31 in 30.1 innings of work. Vogrin appeared in 25 games, which was tied for the third-highest total among Redbird pitchers.

- Took the loss after allowing three runs on three hits over five innings at Springfield June 12.
- Struck out seven and walked just two in his June 12 appearance.
Dylan Grady | Dubois County Bombers | Ohio Valley Summer Collegiate Baseball League
- Came on as a pinch runner June 13 against Muhlenberg County.
- Appeared as a pinch-hitter and went 0-for-2 June 10 against Owensboro.
Lucas Hall | Springfield Sliders | Prospect League
- Currently 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA after making summer debut June 11 against Terre Haute.
- Allowed three earned runs over five innings in a 6-5 loss at Hannibal June 14.
Ryan Hutchinson | Kokomo Jackrabbits | Prospect League
- Slashing .289/.500/.474 with five RBIs and nine runs scored in 13 games.
- Went 2-for-3 with a double, walk, one RBI and one run scored in a 3-2 loss at Chillicothe June 15.
Danny Jackson | Madisonville Miners | Ohio Valley Summer Collegiate Baseball League
- Owns a .167/.286/.206 batting line in six summer games.
- Has driven in four runs and scored four runs.
Jeff Lindgren | Madisonville Miners | Ohio Valley Summer Collegiate Baseball League
- Currently 1-1 with a 4.66 ERA in three starts, spanning 9.2 innings.
- Has tallied 10 strikeouts against five walks; has not allowed an extra-base hit.
Owen Miller | Lakeshore Chinooks | Northwoods League
- Slashing .180/.242/.246 with five RBIs in 16 summer games.
- Hit his first home run of the summer season in a loss to Waterloo June 11.
Connor Moroder | Dubois County Bombers | Ohio Valley Summer Collegiate Baseball League
- Contributed a pinch-hit single in a 4-2 win over Paducah June 14.
- Picked up a save with a 1-2-3 ninth inning June 13 against Muhlenberg County.
Colton Wagner | Crystal Lake Cardinals | Chicago Suburban Baseball League
- Slashing .250/.344/.357 with three RBIs and five runs scored in 12 summer games.
- Hit safely in five-straight games from June 6-12.
Mitch Weis | Bloomington Bobcats | Midwest Collegiate League
- Turned in another strong start June 10 against Joliet, allowing just one run on five hits in a complete-game effort; struck out seven in the 6-1 win.
- Currently 2-0 with a 0.39 ERA and 0.57 WHIP, with 22 strikeouts against three walks, in 23 innings of work.
