NORMAL, Ill. – Rising redshirt sophomore Ryan Hutchinson found a home at third base for the Redbirds this spring, and he's manning the hot corner this summer down in Kokomo.
Playing for the Kokomo Jackrabbits of the Prospect League, Hutchinson has played to a .317/.476/.476 batting line through 19 games. He has tallied six extra-base hits, eight RBIs and six stolen bases, while posting team-high totals of 14 runs scored and 17 walks drawn.
Hutchinson has hit safely in nine-consecutive games, with four multi-hit games during the stretch.  He has reached base safely – either via a hit or walk – in all 19 games he's played in this summer.
In a 4-0 win over Springfield on June 21, Hutchinson went 2-for-3 with a walk, run scored and an RBI, marking his third-straight game with two hits. He stole two bases at West Virginia June 17. Hutchinson tripled and scored two runs in a 6-5 loss at Chillicothe June 19. Â

- Turned in a scoreless outing in his summer debut June 18 against Michigan City.
- Walked two but did not allow a hit in the Bobcats' 5-1 loss June 18.
Jeffrey Barton | Terre Haute Rex | Prospect League
- Owns a 0-1 record, 4.69 ERA and 19 strikeouts in three starts, covering 15.1 innings of work.
- Posted a quality start with seven strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision June 19 against Hannibal.
Lucas Hall | Springfield Sliders | Prospect League
- Currently 0-2 with a 6.30 ERA over three games, including two starts, spanning 10 innings on the mound.
- Took the loss after allowing four runs in five innings in a 6-0 defeat at Lafayette June 19.
Danny Jackson | Madisonville Miners | Ohio Valley Summer Collegiate Baseball League
- Slashing .161/.297/.194 in eight games for Madisonville.
- Has tallied one double, six runs scored and four RBIs this summer.
Jeff Lindgren | Madisonville Miners | Ohio Valley Summer Collegiate Baseball League
- Currently 1-1 with a 4.60 ERA in four starts, spanning 15.2 innings.
- Turned in a quality start with four strikeouts over six innings of work, while earning a no-decision, in a 9-5 loss at Owensboro June 21.
Owen Miller | Lakeshore Chinooks | Northwoods League
- Slashing .207/.270/.250 with seven RBIs and two stolen bases in 24 games.
- Went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in a 10-8 win over Kenosha June 20.
Connor Moroder | Dubois County Bombers | Ohio Valley Summer Collegiate Baseball League
- Went 2-for-4 in a 5-2 loss at Paducah June 20.
- Doubled, scored a run and drove in another in a 7-4 loss at Hoptown June 19.
Mitch Vogrin | Madison Mallards | Northwoods League
- Owns a 3.85 ERA over seven relief appearances, totaling seven innings of work.
- Pitched a 1-2-3 inning in a 10-2 win over Battle Creek June 17.
Mitch Weis | Bloomington Bobcats | Midwest Collegiate League
- Currently 2-1 with a 2.67 ERA and 23 strikeouts in four starts, totaling 27 innings of work.
- Allowed seven earned runs over four innings at Joliet June 17.
