NORMAL, Ill. – After matching Illinois State's single-season pitching appearances record this spring, Jack Landwehr deserved a break.
But after taking a month off, Landwehr is back on the mound and in the same stellar form he displayed during the 2016 collegiate season.
In eight appearances for the Lakeshore Chinooks of the Northwoods League, Landwehr is 1-1 with two saves, a 2.45 ERA and a 0.64 WHIP over 11 innings of work. He has struck out seven and walked just one batter.
Landwehr's summer success comes following a breakout collegiate campaign this spring, as he posted a 4-3 record and a team-leading 2.89 ERA over 32 relief appearances, totaling 37.1 innings.
In eight appearances since June 27, Landwehr has turned in six scoreless outings. He tossed 3.2 scoreless frames to earn his first win of the summer against Green Bay July 10. Landwehr most recently earned his second save of the summer with a perfect ninth inning in Lakeshore's 1-0 win at Rockford July 12.

- Allowed two runs on two hits and a walk against the Northwest Indiana Oilmen July 7.

- Went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI in Dubois County's 11-9 loss to Madisonville July 10.
- Scored two of Dubois County's 12 runs in a 12-2 victory over Muhlenberg County July 8.
Jeffrey Barton | Terre Haute Rex | Prospect League
- Currently 1-1 with a 3.93 ERA with 26 strikeouts over six starts totaling 32 innings of work.
- Allowed just two runs over seven innings of work in a no-decision in Terre Haute's 4-3 win over Hannibal July 10.
Lucas Hall | Bloomington Bobcats | Midwest Collegiate League
- Has appeared twice for Bloomington after beginning the summer season with the Springfield Sliders of the Prospect League.
- Registered two outs without allowing a run at DuPage June 29.
Ryan Hutchinson | Kokomo Jackrabbits | Prospect League
- Slashing .307/.424/.482 with 17 RBIs and 11 stolen bases in 32 games.
- Named a Prospect League All-Star for the July 13 game that was postponed after four innings due to rain.
Danny Jackson | Madisonville Miners | Ohio Valley Summer Collegiate Baseball League
- Owns a .186/.273/.220 batting line in 17 games played this summer.
- Has tallied two doubles, eight RBIs and 11 runs scored to date with Madisonville.
Jeff Lindgren | Madisonville Miners | Ohio Valley Summer Collegiate Baseball League
- Owns a 3-2 record and 4.75 ERA in seven summer starts.
- Has tallied 26 strikeouts against 15 walks over 36 innings of work to date this summer.
Owen Miller | Lakeshore Chinooks | Northwoods League
- Slashing .255/.304/.362 with two home runs and 14 RBIs in 41 summer appearances.
- Has hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games, with four multi-hit games during the stretch.
Connor Moroder | Dubois County Bombers | Ohio Valley Summer Collegiate Baseball League
- Tallied three hits, three RBIs and one run scored in Dubois County's 12-2 win over Muhlenberg County July 8.
- Went 2-for-5 with a double, RBI and two runs scored in the Bombers' 8-0 win over Hoptown July 6.

- Owns a 3.93 ERA with 20 strikeouts over 18.1 innings of work in 12 summer appearances.
- Tossed four shutout innings with a summer-high four strikeouts in Madison's 1-0 win over Lakeshore June 30.

- Currently 2-2 with a 2.25 ERA in six summer starts, with 40 strikeouts in 40 innings of work.
- Pitched a scoreless inning in the Midwest Collegiate League All-Star Game July 12 in Whiting, Indiana.
