Redbird Soccer to Host Fall Camp

NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State soccer team will host its final Redbird Elite ID camp of 2016 on Sept. 24. The camp will be held at Adelaide Street Field and will be under the direction of head coach Eric Golz and his staff of Brad Silvey, Sarah Tompkins and Marisa Kresge.

The Redbirds have already hosted five summer camps this year including three Redbird Elite ID camps, the Redbird Junior Day Camp and their Team Residential Camp.

"We had a fantastic summer camp experience, they were all well attended and the quality was great. They all gave our staff and current student-athletes the opportunity to train some great young kids while further engaging our community. We look forward to continuing that success as we host our fall camp in September," said Golz.

Redbird Elite ID camps are designed for those that aspire to be collegiate student-athletes. These camps are open to high-school-aged girls, with an emphasis on holistic soccer development through technical, tactical, physical and psychological training. The camps will each be capped at 40 participants to provide individualized attention through both training and match play. Goalkeeper specific training will be provided at all of the ID camps. All ID camps will be instructed by the Illinois State soccer coaching staff and players.
