ST. LOUIS – Illinois State's Lauren Koehl has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, following standout performances last week at home, with wins against MVC foe Indiana State Friday and nonconference opponent IUPUI Sunday.
Koehl tallied three goals and one assist over the weekend for ISU. She had one goal in the 4-0 win over Indiana State and two goals and one assist in the 4-1 win over IUPUI. Koehl has seven goals on the season so far. She leads the MVC in shots (46), shots per game (3.83), points (16), points per game (1.33), goals (7) and goals per game (.58).
Koehl and her teammates are back in action this week, traveling to Chicago for a matchup with the Cougars of Chicago State. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. at Kroc Stadium.
