FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – Sophomore Caitlin Sims produced a 1-over-par 72 (36-36) in Tuesday's third and final round of the Bradley Spring Break Invitational to finish all alone in sixth place on the individual leaderboard at the par-71, 5,921-yard Brookhaven Country Club in the northwest Dallas suburbs.

After shooting a 2-over-par 36 on the front nine, Sims fired a 1-under-par 36 on the back, which included two birdies. She finished the tournament with a 225 (77-76-72).

Illinois State concluded the event in seventh place, but the Redbirds did record their lowest round of the tournament Tuesday with a 303 to finish with a three-round total of 928 (308-317-303). Northern Illinois topped the 10-team field with an 890 (294-303-293), 19 strokes ahead of second-place Bradley and 22 strokes ahead of third-place Wichita State.

Junior Kiley Walsh also finished with a season-low 72 (37-35) in the final round and tallied three birdies. She carded a 2-under-par 34 on the back nine, collecting pair of birdies at the start, before paring the final seven holes. Walsh finished the tournament with a 235 (79-84-72), which was Illinois State's' third-lowest score.

Freshman Paige Seiser, who was in eighth place after the first two rounds after accumulating the Redbirds' lowest score, finished with a 229 (75-77-77), which was good enough for a 13th-place tie. She shot a 6-over-par 77 (41-36) in the final round and finished strong with a 1-under-par 36 on the back nine, which included two birdies.

Junior Abby Luchtenburg finished with a 240 (77-80-83), but her final-round score of 83 (40-43) did not count towards the team's scoring Tuesday. She birdied one hole in the final round. Senior Renee Solberg rounded out the scoring for Illinois State in the final round with an 82 (40-42) and ended the tournament with a 249 (80-87-82).

Senior Maggie Ambrose, who was one of two individuals competing for the Redbirds, shot an 81 (40-41) in the final round to finish with a 239 (80-78-81) while recording one birdie on the day. Freshman Morgan Savage shot her lowest round of the tournament with an 82 (40-42) to finish with a 255 (85-88-82).

Illinois State produced the second-lowest score on the par-3s, shooting 22-over-par, and tied for the fourth-most birdies in the tournament with 16.

The Redbirds return to action March 27-28 at William & Mary's Kingsmill Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Virginia, at Kingsmill Resort.
