NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team will travel to Valparaiso, Indiana for a match against Valparaiso Saturday, March 24.  
Summit League play will begin at 1 p.m. at the Valparaiso University Tennis Complex.
The Redbirds hope to earn their first Summit League win of the season. The Birds went 0-2 in last their last showing. The squad battled with Florida Gulf Coast, but ultimately fell short, 4-3. Illinois State took the doubles point over Grand Canyon, but the squad could not deliver in singles play, earning one win for the, 5-2 margin.
Valpo went 1-1 in last weekend's play as the team defeated Eastern Florida State College 6-1, before falling to Barry in a tight, 5-4 match.
The Redbirds will be back on the road April 7 for a match against South Dakota
State at 10 a.m.  in Valparaiso, Indiana.
