NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois States women's tennis team fell short today in the match up against Nebraska, 4-0.
One doubles team Veronika Golanova and Jana Kustkova fell short to Castillo and B. Lashway, 6-1. Doubles duo Ivon Mihaleva and Laura Fitzgerald were defeated by C. Reifeis and H. Haakenstad, 6-2. At three doubles Valerija Gercar and Estelle Vanthier was overcome by K. Matysova and V. Shinde, 6-1.
In the fight for two singles Kustkova was defeated by C. Reifeis, 6-1, 6-0. At four singles Mihaleva fell short to K. Matysova, 6-1, 6-1. One singles Golanova was overcome by B. Lashway, 6-2, 6-0.
The Redbirds return home to prepare for a match up this weekend against Butler on March 10. The next day the team will hit the road for Chicago in an away match up against UIC.
