PGA Tour veteran & course designer D.A. Weibring, a Redbird alum, transformed 27 acres of farmland next to the campus’ Weibring Golf Club into a private golf park for the Illinois State University golf programs.  This premier facility is one of the finest in the country and brings the golf course to the training area so you can practice like you play.

Features among the rolling terrain include eight target greens, bunkers, fairway lanes, four types of grasses for a variety of lies and added definition, multiple tees so you can hit in any wind direction, and a complete short game area so every shot in golf can be created and practiced. The short game area will be expanded to include a second USGA spec practice green designed to provide even greater challenges mimicking the most demanding shots the Birds could encounter on the road.
