Illinois State sophomore Samantha Richdale, 2004 Missouri Valley Conference medalist and NCAA Finalist, has been recognized by the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-Scholar team and is a member of the NCAA All-Central Regional Team.
The NGCA All-Scholar team requires a 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) cumulative grade point average. The student-athletes coach makes a nomination, which also includes a recommendation based on character. Richdale made the All-Central Regional Team by placing in the top 10 at the NCAA Central Regional tournament.

Richdales sixth-place tie in the Central Regional allowed her to advance to the NCAA Finals as an individual, where she finished tied for 57th out of 126 golfers.
Redbird coach
Ray Kralis is pleased to see Richdale rewarded for all of her accomplishments in 2003-04.
Samanthas second consecutive NGCA All-Scholar team selection demostrates her dedication not only in the classroom but also on the golf course, said Kralis.
Richdale and all of her four NCAA Central Regional teammates will return to try and defend their Valley title in 2005.
