As part of the redesigned GoRedbirds.com, the Illinois State Athletics Media Relations Office will spend the next five business days helping you, the Redbird Athletics fan, acquaint yourself with your official source of Illinois State Athletics news. In Monday's installment of "Inside the New GoRedbirds.com," we will highlight some aspects of one of the newest features to GoRedbirds.com, the Illinois State "National Champions" page.
The "National Champions" page of GoRedbirds.com can be found on the all-new top toolbar of the Web site, by clicking on the "Traditions" tab.
From the 1969 Redbird baseball team's NCAA College Division (now Division II) National Championship to Tom Smith's two individual national titles in track and field and Christian Goy's remarkable indoor national title in the mile, Redbird Athletics has a strong history of success on the national level. This rich tradition of national success is fully detailed on this page, where information about each national championship is given for ISU Athletics fans to enjoy and reminisce.
The "National Champions" page was conceived based off requests from Redbird Athletics fans, like yourself, who wanted to visually see the rich history of ISU Athletics detailed, as well as get information on just how successful Redbird Athletics has been on a national level. Now, the strong winning tradition of ISU Athletics is here on the redesigned GoRedbirds.com, and we hope you like it as much as we enjoy brining the feature to you.
