As the Illinois State swimming and diving team closed its 2008-09 season, head swimming and diving coach Steve Paska announced the addition of two student-athletes to the 2009-10 swimming and diving team. Maureen Doyle and Arica Woolbright signed National Letters of Intent to continue their athletic and academic success with the Redbird team.
Doyle and Woolbright will join nine recruits who were added to the team in November. The Illinois State 2009-10 recruiting class includes: Maryssa Beckman (Highland, Ill.), Morgan Buechele (Normal, Ill.), Maureen Doyle (Barrington, Ill.), Kelli Goessling (St. Louis, Mo.), Jeanette Nolte (Naperville, Ill.), Madicyn Prouty (Boone, Iowa), Sarah Rendek (Naperville, Ill.), Danielle Schumacher (Lemont, Ill.), Brianna Vigna (Dwight, Ill.), Brianna Winkler (Olathe, Kan.), and Arica Woolbright (Roscoe, Ill.).

"Arica is a talented swimmer. She will add versatility to the breaststroke group, as well as in the IM group. I believe she will give us a competitive student-athlete in both breaststroke and IM events, making us even deeper as a team. She has true love for the sport, she is very passionate about swimming, she wants to improve and I think she is going to be a great fit for our Redbird swimming and diving program."
