NORMAL, Ill. -
Illinois State and Missouri State got one-half inning in of play in Sunday's series finale before heavy rain and lightning forced the cancellation of the game and the end to the series. The game will not be made up after the two teams played both games of Saturday's doubleheader, with Missouri State taking game one, 3-2, in eight innings, and Illinois State winning game two, 7-2.
Illinois State will return to action at 6 p.m. Tuesday when it travels to Urbana, Ill., for a midweek non-conference game against Big Ten foe Illinois.
