Judson, Beane Rank among Top-5 Valley Assistants

Nov. 17, 2010

NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State assistant basketball coaches Rob Judson and Anthony Beane were both listed among the Missouri Valley Conference's top-5 assistants, according to a poll compiled by Jeff Goodman of Fox Sports.

The poll, which was voted upon by at least 75-percent of the head coaches and assistants in each league, ranked Judson third among the Valley elite and Beane at the fifth spot. Goodman is the senior basketball writer for FoxSports.com.

Both Judson and Beane have served on head coach Tim Jankovich's staff since Jankovich's arrival at Illinois State prior to the 2007-08 season.

Along with assistant coach Paris Parham, the Illinois State staff has guided the Redbirds to three-straight postseason appearances. In the previous three seasons under this staff, Illinois State has won more overall games, 71, than any other Valley school. ISU is also the only Valley school to post at least 20 regular-season wins in each of the last three seasons.
