NORMAL, Ill. -
After the completion of the 2009-10 swimming and diving season, head diving coach Phil Hoffmann announced the addition of Margaret Kopp to compete as a Redbird diver for the 2010-11 season.
Kopp signed the National Letter of Intent to continue her athletic and academic success with the Redbirds, and will join swimmer Erica Halley, who signed with the `Birds in the fall.
Kopp reigns from Waukegan, Ill., where she competed on the varsity diving team for Highland Park High School all four years.
Coach Hoffmann feels that Kopp is prepared to contribute to the Redbirds.
"Maggie is a very well-rounded athlete," Hoffmann said. "She is a great student and is definitely looking to improve even more as a diver. I know she is going to work hard over the summer and will be ready to go as an instant contributor for our team in the fall."
