During Illinois State's 2012 HoopFest event, first-year ISU head men's basketball coach Dan Muller had one request for the crowd of Redbird fans.
"I only know packed arenas - that's all I know," said Muller, who helped lead Illinois State to four post-season appearances as a player from 1995-98. "This team deserves to play in front of a bunch of people. Redbird Arena should be the toughest venue in the entire conference. That's our goal."
With the 2012-13 mini-pack now on sale, ISU fans have an opportunity to help Muller and the Redbirds achieve their mission.
For just $27, this season's mini-pack features an upper-bowl ticket to three crucial Missouri Valley Conference weekend matchups, including the Saturday, Jan. 5, game against Northern Iowa; the Saturday, Feb. 2, contest versus Southern Illinois; and the Sunday, Feb. 17, matchup against Wichita State. Fans who purchase the mini-pack will also have an opportunity to add additional games at the single-game price.
Individual single-game tickets are also available beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday. All lower bowl seats are $18, except for Bradley tickets, which are $20. Upper bowl tickets range from $5 to $13. Birds' Nest seats located in the North end behind the basket (sections RR and SS) or the South end (sections FF and GG) behind the basket are just $5. Non-conference upper bowl tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for youth. Conference upper bowl seats cost $11 for adults and $9 for youth, and Bradley upper bowl tickets are $13 for adults and $11 for youth.
ISU's lone exhibition game is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 5, versus Quincy, with the regular season tipping off Monday, Nov. 12, at home against UC Santa Barbara.
