NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State football media day will continue with its new addition from last season, when alumni and fans will have a chance to be a part of the day's events on August 6, as the Illinois State Athletics Department hosts Social Media Day live on GoRedbirds.com with Redbird football.
Social Media Day will begin at 9:30 a.m., live from the Kaufman Football Building. While Redbird players and coaches conduct interviews with local media outlets on the field of Hancock Stadium, select players and head coach Brock Spack will join moderators Ronan O’Shea and Ted Schmitz to answer questions from family, friends, fans and alumni.
Redbird fans will have the chance to talk to some of their favorite players and Coach Spack through the help of the department’s various social media platforms. Fans can submit questions through Twitter by tweeting their question including @ISURedbirds and/or #ISUgetsocial to make sure your question or comment is a part of the conversation. Questions can also be sent through the CoveritLive blog that will be running on the day of the event on the Social Media Day page.
Questions will then be answered by the players and Coach Spack through a live video feed, which can be accessed on the Social Media Day page on GoRedbirds.com. To see a complete list of players being interviewed and a timeline for the day, log onto GoRedbirds.com and click on Social Media Day 2012 located on the quick links menu on the football homepage or click here.
