NORMAL, Ill. - The time has arrived to renew your Red Alert student pass for the 2013-14 school year, and the Illinois State Athletics Department has made this process simpler than ever, with an updated system designed to make attending athletic events easier for ISU students.
For $50, Illinois State students will receive free admission into all regular-season football and men’s basketball games, while the remaining varsity sport programs will offer free student admission. This one-time fee also includes the official Red Alert T-shirt designed by Homage and 15 minute priority seating before football and men’s basketball games.
Starting next year, students will no longer have to obtain a hard ticket in order to attend a game. All student tickets will be accessed through the Redbird ID Card. When attending games, students will only have to swipe their ID card at the entrance, to gain admission into the game.
Both pass renewals and first-time purchases can be made online with a valid credit card or charged directly to student tuition bills. Red Alert passes will also be sold at the Illinois State Athletics Ticket Office, located at the North entrance of Redbird Arena, for those looking to make an in-person purchase. The ticket office is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
