NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State Athletics Department is proud to announce its new partnership with Homage vintage shirt designs, to produce the official 2013-14 Red Alert shirt.
Different from previous years, the new design will be the first ever vintage Red Alert T-shirt available exclusively to Illinois State students. All Red Alert members are guaranteed the Red Alert Homage shirt, which will have a thumbs up Reggie logo, with a purchased membership of the ISU student spirit group. Homage turns back the clock with shout outs to eclectic moments and personalities in sports, music, politics, and pop culture, a facet Homage director of marketing Nate Ellis is eager to bring to the Red Alert shirt.
"Homage is honored and excited to team up with Illinois State University as the exclusive provider of vintage Illinois State casual apparel," Ellis said. "The opportunity to pay tribute to the great tradition of Illinois' first public university is the Homage ideal."
Founded in 2007, Homage strives to tell stories of triumph, individualism and hustle, while preserving the old school and creating new legacies. In addition to the Athletics partnership, Homage will also team up with Illinois State's University Marketing and Communications team to produce a vintage ISU clothing collection for alumni and the general public. The first items from that collection are expected to be available for purchase in fall 2013.
To become a member of Red Alert and receive admission into all regular-season football and men's basketball games, ISU students can purchase their pass for $50 online or at myillinoisstate online. Red Alert memberships may also be purchased at Preview or the Illinois State Athletics Ticket Office located at the North entrance of Redbird Arena. The ticket office is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
