BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Redbird Basketball Coaches Shows, featuring Illinois State men's head coach Dan Muller and women's head coach Kristen Gillespie will air tonight live from Hy-Vee Market Grille in Bloomington, Illinois. Fans unable to attend the show can listen live on WJBC 1230-AM or GoRedbirds.com, as Muller and Gillespie preview their upcoming matchups.
The Kristen Gillespie Show, hosted by Greg Halbleib, starts out the night at 6 p.m. Gillespie will be joined by freshman forward, Lexy Koudelka. The women's team (10-7, 3-3) hosts I-74 rival Bradley on Saturday for the annual "Pack the Arena" game. Koudelka has made nine starts and appeared in all 17 games for the Redbirds this season. This past weekend, she shot 90 percent from the charity stripe and added a combined 13 points and six rebounds.
The Dan Muller Show follows at 7 p.m., hosted by Dick Luedke and Mike Matthews. Muller will be joined by junior guard Matt Hein. The men's team (11-8, 4-2) travels west to Peoria on Wednesday, Jan. 23 to take on the Bradley Braves. Hein has played in a dozen games with one start and averages nearly two assists per game. He averages two points per game and has a 21-to-9 assist to turnover ratio.
