NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's basketball team has earned a bid to the WNIT! The 'Birds will travel to Mizzou on Thursday, March 16 for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off in Columbia, Missouri.
WANT A RIDE?
Illinois State Athletics is working to confirm a fan bus for travel to and from Columbia, Missouri. Registration for the fan bus is estimated at $125 per person and includes transportation as well as your game ticket and lunch.

If your request is able to be fulfilled, the card used will automatically be charged for the number of tickets requested, or as many as we are able to assign.
TEAM SENDOFF
Fans who wish to partake in the women's basketball team's sendoff as they head over to Mizzou Arena can meet in the lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn (3300 Vandiver Drive Columbia, MO 65202). The team plans to leave the hotel at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, prior to their WNIT match-up against Missouri.
REDBIRD RALLY
Redbird fans heading to Columbia to watch our women's basketball team play in WNIT can also stick around the Hilton Garden Inn - Garden Grille (3300 Vandiver Drive Columbia, MO 65202) for a pre-game rally Thursday evening. The event is open to the public, will begin at 5:15 p.m., and will feature performances by Illinois State's band and cheerleading team.

STAYING HOME?
Fans who will not be traveling to Columbia but want to enjoy the game from home are invited to BloNo Pizza Co. for the official Redbird watch party beginning at 6:00 p.m.

REDBIRDS IN THE POSTSEASON
This marks the 14th WNIT appearance for Illinois State who is 21-20 all-time in the tournament and second WNIT appearance for the Redbirds under Kristen Gillespie.
In their last WNIT appearance in the 2020-21 season, the Redbird picked up a win over the Samford Bulldogs in the consolation bracket but would drop results to Tulane and UT Martin.
The Redbirds are making their third straight postseason appearance, after making it to March Madness following last season. The last time ISU played in three consecutive postseasons came under Robin Pingeton and Stephanie Glance as ISU made five straight WNIT appearances (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013).
