NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State and North Alabama have agreed on a schedule change for the 2025 football season that will result in the previously scheduled September 27 game at Hancock Stadium between the two programs moving to Saturday, September 20 at Noon CT.
The weekend of September 26-28 was also scheduled as Family Weekend on the Illinois State campus, however those festivities will also be moved to the weekend of September 19-21 to correlate with the football game against the Lions. With the move, the Redbirds will now have a bye week on September 27 before opening Missouri Valley Football Conference play at home against defending FCS National Champion North Dakota State on October 4.
ISU will open the 2025 campaign in Norman, Oklahoma, against the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, August 30. The Redbirds will play six home games as part of a 12-game schedule in 2025 and information on season ticket packages will be announced soon.
