CAREER RESULTS

2018-19 OUTDOOR (Fr.): Competed in two meets during outdoor season...Recorded a personal-best time of 9:04.88 to finish second in the 3,000-meter run at the Redbird Invitational (4/6)...Finished eighth in the 3,000 at the Ole Miss Classic (3/30), clocking in at 9:05.67.

2018-19 INDOOR (Fr.): Competed in two meets during the indoor campaign...Ran a time of 9:08.47 in the 3,000 at the Illini Invitational (1/25-26)...Finished eighth in the mile with a time of 4:36.75 at the Coughlan-Malloy Cup (1/12).

HINSDALE SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL: Three-time IHSA Class 2A XC Championships qualifier...earned All-State honors as a senior, finishing 13th at the state finals...also won the 2A Marist Regional and finished second at the 2A Wheaton Academy Sectional in 2017 en route to the state championships...named an All-Conference selection on the cross country circuit in 2015, 2016, and 2017...helped Hindsale South's cross country team to a fourth place finish at the IHSA State Championships in 2015...on the track, three-time Illinois Top Times qualifier in the 3200-meter...placed third in the 3200-meter at the 2018 Illinois Top Times meet...2018 IHSA Class 3A State T&F Championships qualifier in the 3200-meter...member of the Tri-M Music Honors Society and the Quill and Scroll Journalism Honors Society.

PERSONAL: Born July 7, 2000, in Darien, Illinois...son of Matthew and Janet Haffner...father, Matthew, ran cross country and track & field at Northwestern and currently coaches cross country and track at Saint Ignatius College Prep...has one younger sister, Kate...plans to major in journalism.
