Outdoor: Competed in three meets during freshman season...captured personal-best 800-meter time (2:22.33) at the Redbird Invite, finishing ninth...raced in the 800-meter (2:23.80) and 1,500-meter (4:53.52) at the Big Blue Classic...competed in the 3,000-meter at the Black & Gold Invite, crossing the finish line in a personal-best 10:20.38.

Wisconsin Lutheran High School: Six-time WIAA Track & Field State Championships Qualifier...2016 WIAA Track & Field State Championships 1,600m Champion...2016 WIAA Track & Field State Championships 800m Runner-Up...2016 WIAA Track & Field State Championships 3,200-meter Third Place Finisher...three-time WFTA State Indoor Championships qualifier...holds three school records at Wisconsin Lutheran - 800m (2:11.92), 1,600m (4:59.46), and 3,200m (10:53.18)...four-time Wisconsin State Cross Country Championship Qualifier...finished third at states in 2016, fourth in 2015, fifth in 2014, and seventh in 2013...Honor Roll student.

Personal: Born 11/16/1998...daughter of Robert Janik and Delma Castillo-Janik...has two siblings, Joel (21) and Vicente (14)...plans to major in journalism with career aspirations of becoming a news anchor.
