Diana Cirstea finished second in three different events as the Illinois State swimming and diving team split a double-dual meet Friday at Southwest Missouri State.
Illinois State beat NorthernIowa 62-33, but lost to the Bears 56-39. SMS beat UNI by the same 56-39 score. All three teams participate in the Missouri Valley Conference Shootout Saturday at SMS.
Cirstea was part of a 400-yard medley relayteam which took second place. She also finished second in the 200-yard butterfly and 200-yard breast stroke. Teammate Lindsay Crowder won the 200-yard freestyle event. She was ISUs sole individual winner.
The three teams meeting on Friday will be joined by Evansville, Bradley and Southern Illinois for the Valley Shootout on Saturday.
