Some 250 have purchased tickets for Saturday's Evening With The Redbirds. The deadline to make reservations is Wednesday at 5 p.m.
Reservations can be made by calling 309/438-3803. The event will be held Saturday, Oct. 21 at Redbird Arena. It begins at 6 p.m.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the scholarship fund in the Illinois State Athletics Department.
"We really didn't know what to expect in our first year with this event, but to reach 250 is very gratifying," said ISU Assistant Athletics Director Todd Reeser. "We will obviously work to add to that number between now and the reservation deadline.
"This needs to become an important fund-raising event for Redbird Athletics and one that will continue to grow in stature in future years."
An Evening With The Redbirds will feature a dinner and auction. Reeser said that more than 30 items will be presented during the live auction and that there will also be a selection of silent auction items.
Tickets for the event are $40 each.
