An Evening With the Redbirds, a new event designed to assist the Illinois State Athletics Departments fund-raising activities, will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, at Redbird Arena.
The event begins at 6 p.m., with a reception and silent auction. A live auction and dinner will follow at 7 p.m.
A few of auction items up for bid include the use of condominiums in Las Vegas and Hilton Head, weekend get-away packages, a John Deere garden tractor and sports memorabilia autographed by Michael Jordan, Vince Carter, Stan Musial and Brett Favre.
Cost of the event is $40 per person and the proceeds will provide scholarship support for Illinois State student-athletes. Reservations must be made before Oct. 14 by calling 309/438-3803.
