Captains Lindsay Crowder, Tiffany Dudley, and Andrea Lovelle were all instrumental in Illinois State's 64-49 win over Northern Illinois.
Illinois State split the double-dual meet beating Northern Illinois,but suffered a disappointing loss to Illinois 62-50. Illinois beat Northern Illinois by a final score of 72-40.
Junior Lindsay Crowder took first place in three events. The 100 yard freestyle in which she finished with a time of 53.96, which cliched first place against both the Huskies and the Fighting Illini. She was also part of the 200 Medley Relay team that placed first against Northen Illinois, and the 200 Freestyle Relay team that took first against both Illinois and Northern Illinois.
Senior Tiffany Dudley took first place in two events against the Huskies, the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:14.14, and the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:50.10. Dudley also took second place in the 200 yard Backstroke with a time of 2:10.92. These are all season best times for Dudley.

Steve Paska believes that Dudley was a key component to their success all afternoon.
Senior Andrea Lovelle took first place on both the 1 meter and 3 meter springboard events against the Huskies and the Fighting Illini. On the 1 meter event she scored a 233.5 and on the 3 meter event she scored a 232. With these scores she was only 22 points away from qualifying for the NCAA Zone Championships.
Diving coach Drew Johansen said he was really impressed with the way she competed.
Brittany Erickson was also another important component in the Redbird's success over the Huskies. She took first place in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 25.43, and was also part of the 200 Freestyle Relay team that placed first against Northern Illinois and Illinois.
Saturday Nov. 4, the Redbirds will take on the Cyclones from Iowa State. The meeting will take place at Horton pool at 1 p.m.
