Despite many first and second place finishes by the Illinois State swimming and diving team, the Illinois State Redbirds fell short to the Ball State Cardinals 196-101.
Both Dudley and Crowder were part of the 200 yard Medley Relay team that took second place with a time of 1:15.74. Dudleys other second place finish came in the 200 yard Backstroke (2:11.49). Dudley also took third place in two events, the 100 yard Backstroke (1:01.93) and the 200 yard Individual Medley (2:19.07).
Crowders other second place finishes came in the 100 yard Freestyle (54.62) and the 100 yard Backstroke (1:01.73).
Andrea Lovelle finished second in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 236.78. Beth Clark of Ball State finished first in this event with a score of 286.05. In the 3-meter event Lovelle placed first, finishing with a score of 266.25.
Brittany Erickson also contributed to the Redbirds efforts against Ball State as another member of the second place 200 yard Medley Relay team. She also came in third place in the 50 yard Freestyle (25.87) and fourth in the 200 yard Backstroke (2:16.10).
Diana Cirstea helped the Redbirds with her second place finishes in both the 200 yard Breaststroke (2:32.71) and 200 yard Individual Medley (2:16.37), and her third place finish in the 200 yard Butterfly (2:14.11).
Illinois State faces off against the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Saturday Nov. 18 at Horton Pool.
