In the final meet of the semester the Illinois State swimming and diving team will take on the Panthers from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee at 6 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 18 at Horton Pool.
The Redbirds enter the meet with a 2-4 record, coming of a 196-101 loss to Ball State.
The Panthers are 4-2, coming off a double-dual meet split against Northern Illinois and Butler. The Panthers defeated the Bulldogs 173-63, but fell short to the Huskies 122-120.
This years meet will consist of 13 events.
The team that performs best in the first three or four events, will have the best chance of winning the meet, said head coach
Steve Paska. The first four events of the meet are the 400 Medley Relay, the 1000 yard Freestyle, the 200 yard Freestyle, and the 50 yard Freestyle.
The girls know what a big meet this is, and this being the last meet of the semester they are really excited about it, said Paska.
