Illinois State University Athletics

Special Ticket, Parking Procedures in Place for Saturday

Illinois States football team will host Eastern Illinois this Saturday during a time when the Illinois High School Associations Volleyball State Tournament will be ongoing in Redbird Arena. To assist fans, ISUs Athletics Department and the Bloomington-Normal Area Sports Commission have announced special procedures that will be in place for the day. Anyone interested in purchasing football tickets is encouraged to do so before Friday, the first day of the state tournament. On Friday, in addition to the ticket office at Redbird Arena, tickets for the ISU-EIU game will also be available from the Alamo II Bookstore from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The Alamo II will again put tickets on sale Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Illinois State will offer a Family Day ticket package that allows game tickets for two adults and two youths, plus four Pepsis and popcorn for just $20. Anyone holding a parking pass for one of the lots ordinarily reserved for ISU football will also have to show a football ticket to gain access to those lots. The sports commission is sponsoring shuttle buses on Saturday. Those buses will run continuously from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. They will pick up at the Holiday Inn and the southwest corner of the College Hills Mall (near Hobby Lobby). The drop-off point on campus will be the circle drive just north of Redbird Arena. Both football and volleyball fans are encouraged to take advantage of the complementary shuttle service. Illinois State and Eastern Illinois kick off at 1 p.m., in Hancock Stadium.
