Junior Kim Pokarney moved up eight spots to land a fourth place finish in the Illinois Wesleyan Lady Titan Invitational at Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Ill. on Sunday, September 17.
At the second day of competition, Pokarney shot a career best of 75, just three strokes behind tournament leader Bobbie Jo Bivens of Rend Lake. Sunday Pokarney and two other competitors shot the second lowest score of the day at Ironwood.
The Dwight, Ill. native competed as an individual in the 127 golfer tournament and finished the first day of competition sitting at 12th place with a score of 79.
Pokarneys final score of 154 and fourth place finish wipes out her previous record of 166 and a best place finish of 26th.
Teammates Becky Brtva, Nicole Foy, Abbe Graceffa, Jill Rachford and Albiona Zhubi begin the second day of competition at the Panther Fall Classic on Monday morning at Beaver Hills Country Club in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
