Senior Nicole Foy shot a 77 in second day play at the Panther Fall Classic Monday to seize a third place finish with a total score of 154, while the Redbirds remained steady at seventh place with a overall finish of 653.
Foy trailed medalist Laura Wells of Iowa State by two strokes. Iowa State held tight to the first day finish of first as they took home the honors with an overall score of 610. Second place Arkansas State trailed Iowa State by 16 strokes to land a 626.
The Redbirds shot a 330 for the day at Beaver Hills Country Club. Junior Jill Rachford (157) finished off with a tie at 15th. Freshman Albiona Zhubi (169) tied for 44th, while juniors Becky Brtva (174), Sara Prack (182) and Abbe Graceffa (191) rounded out Redbird play at 59th, 75th and 79th respectively.
The Birds will resume play at the Lady Northern hosted by Minnesota September 30.
